ECO-SAF HIRE UNITS
Pollution Control's range of transportable packaged treatment units are robust steel tanks, built for easy installation with minimal operation and maintenance requirements.
- Individual treatment modules available in a range of sizes.
- Available as emergency response units or as temporary solutions in planned refurbishment or pilot programmes.
- Can achieve a consistent discharge consent quality of 10:15:5 following final settlement.
- Design flows are based on DWF at 200 litres/day per head of population.
- BOD load is assumed at 60gms per head of PE with 25% BOD removal through primary stages
- Hire units are manufactured from steel for free standing installations on a level base.
- Improvements to water quality will start on commissioning and consents are normally achieved within 2-3 weeks.
Scope of supply
- Submerged aerated filter system (SAF).
- Lift pump as required.
- Automated blower/pump control centre.
- Kanaflex inlet/outlet hose connections.
- Plug in three phase connection.
- Complementary service/inspection every 8-10 weeks.
Operation/Maintenance
- The process only requires periodic inspection.
- Technical assistance is available by telephone.
Delivery & Installation
- Supply and delivery is mostly available within short notice, transport and lifting equipment can be supplied.
- At most sites the SAF can be installed and ready to use within 1 day.

Performance
The PC range of secondary effluent (SAF) treatment plants have a consistent record for quality performance when used within a typical domestic environment and the flows loads specified above. Consideration however must be given to situations where high levels of oils, fats or grease are present or where shock loads could be experienced with other chemicals or substances.
